Web hosting services work by maintaining stable and secure storage spaces. While web hosts provide more than just simple data storage, it’s a core part of their functionality. Hosts store data on hardware called web servers, which allows for easy maintenance and access by online users.
While some providers may offer lower-priced plans, it’s essential to consider the overall value and transparency.

Dubbed the “Forms Guru” by my co-workers, as a Microsoft solution provider, I LOVE the power, flexibility and ease of use that Microsoft Office 365 Forms provide. Each Form is not only highly customizable, but also provide complex question section branching as needed. But more importantly, “all form data is captured on the backend in an Excel Spreadsheet!” AND, all the data is automatically graphed on a Summary Data Dashboard. The Forms are also easily integrated or embedded across applications and platforms using, but not limited to, code, links, or QR Codes. I do use some embedded website forms, but find accessing, editing and manipulating the data more cumbersome. I also recommend Word documents for forms that can be saved as Fill-In PDFs. While these forms are great for “filling in,” hence the name, data entered in the fields in not electronically captured! So, if ya’ want data, MS Forms are the way to go. But I do agree that sometimes you just need a PDF!
As a Microsoft Solution provider, I highly recommend Outlook as part of Microsoft Office (365.) Despite Google’s attempt to compete, Microsoft remains the business industry standard for workplace applications, and is predominantly used by most businesses, where as Google focuses on education, much like Apple back in the day. MS Office and its email client Outlook, hands-down provides more powerful business functionality. And if you’re still using Yahoo, Hotmail, Juno, or AOL (don’t tell anyone,) we need to talk!

Mobile and Tablet Site Optimization is the process of adjusting website content to ensure visitors accessing the site from mobile devices have a customized device experience. Optimized, or also called Responsive, means content flows easily between desktop and mobile devices to provide the user with an outstanding experience. Essentially it’s two more versions of your site and is included in our website packages.
In simple terms, a blog is a type of online magazine where new articles (‘blog posts’) are added on a regular basis. Originally known as a ‘web log’, blogs used to be used as a type of online diary – a little like many social media platforms are used today. While some people still use blogs in this way, blogging has changed enormously over the years. These days a blog is more usually a type of online business – often a very lucrative one!
Another common confusion is the difference between a ‘blog’ and a ‘website’. In fact, a blog is simply a special type of website. ‘Website’ is a general term and could mean any type of website… For example, Amazon, eBay, bbc.co.uk and Facebook are all websites, but none of these is a blog.
What sets a blog apart and makes it different from other kinds of websites is that a blog is typically owned and run by one person, and it is frequently updated with new content (‘blog posts’).
Confusingly, some kinds of non-blog websites have blogs on them. In this context the ‘blog’ part of the website usually has news and updates on it.

Simply put, a podcast is an audio programme, just like Talk Radio, but you subscribe to it on your smartphone and listen to it whenever you like.
In a little more detail, a podcast is a series of spoken word, audio episodes, all focused on a particular topic or theme, like cycling or startups. You can subscribe to the show with an app on your phone and listen to episodes whenever you like on your headphones, in the car, or through speakers.
A website popup is a browser window that intentionally and automatically overlays a website page usually offering a marketing message. Email sign-ups, free downloads and special offers are a few examples commonly used to engage the visitor. Website popups can appear as a small window, a full-screen takeover, a window that slides in from the side, or an opt-in bar. There a lots of settings that trigger pop-ups all over the place, but we recommend using them sparingly as visitors don’t like incentant pops-ups,especially ones that are poorly configured that you simply can’t close and end-up stuck in mid-scroll! Argh!
We don’t offer any DIY Courses. Instead, we offer consultations on best practices and tools to use for your needs, as well as provide suggestions and recommendations. For example, our Freebies page has lots of checklists to help including “Tools We Use.”
